SME Banking

In accordance with the Bank’s new development strategy adopted in 2006, SME lending is determined as one of the higher-priority business lines. Realization of this line will enable the Bank to attract new target client segments and provide additional diversification of its loan portfolio. Within the framework of this business line, the Bank has developed 5 lending programs meeting different requirements of clients and designed for all categories of SME subjects. Developing those programs, the Bank used the experience of several partner banks including JSC BTA Bank  that possesses a unique experience in this direction and successfully develops it since 1998 in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and other international financial institutions. At the end of 2006, the Bank began implementing a pilot project on SME lending following the results of which LLS BTA Bank  will actively enter this market segment in all regions of its presence. It is intended that by the end of 2008 the SME lending portfolio should exceed RUB 2.8 billion (USD 110 million).
